This candle is made of clean burning, sustainably sourced, 100% natural soy and coconut wax and comes in 8oz (~50 hours of burn time) reusable glass jars. Our Clara Barton's Schoolhouse candle honors Clara Barton and her impact she has had on Bordentown and our country as a whole. Not only was she a teacher in Bordentown, opening her schoolhouse and offering the first public education to children in Bordentown, but she was a nurse during the Civil War and later founded the American Red Cross. Her schoolhouse is a wonderful landmark that brings charm, history and a reminder of the importance of caring for one another, including our children. As a teacher myself, this candle is near and dear to my heart. In smelling this candle, you will actually smell the old parchment of a school house, mixed with a bit of mahogany, sandalwood, leather, cedar and teakwood.
